I just watched an interesting news report about Battle Mountain, Nevada, a gold-town that’s booming in the midst of these economic times:

So if you don’t mind a small, close-knit community that doesn’t look like it has too many brothas and sistas (I’ll chill out in Akron, thank you) Battle Mountain, Nevada, has jobs avaialable, and only had 3 foreclosures last year.


On NBC News, they showed a woman in Battle Mountain who’s about ready to flip a house there — and she’s confident it’ll sell in 90 days.


Curious.


Kinda reminds me of when we visited a mining town called Jerome, Arizona.


Like I said, I’ll take Akron.
