While other places advertise this Flip Video MinoHD Camcorder, 60 Minutes (Black) for $229 with free shipping, right now I see it on Amazon for $209 with free shipping — as of this writing.
Why do people want to buy the Flip Mino HD?
Well, I own a Flilp camcorder, not the Flip Mino — those weren’t out yet when I saw Tyra Banks on TV first introduce me to the Flip camcorder a year or two ago.
Since that time, they’ve come out with these Flip Video MinoHD Camcorders, which I’m assuming produce a whole lot better quality video in HD.
Right now, our Flip video camcorders are used more by our kids than us. They’ve love taking them around and secretly recording grandpa run for the mail, then laugh.
That shows you how simple they are to use.
And they have the USB connection that makes it so easy to upload the vids, probably remotely, if they don’t do that already.
Hopefully the recording distance is better on these Flip Mino HD camcorders…
…than it used to be on the old Flip first camcorders.
Trying to record my kids at their school programs from far back proved kinda dicey using those first Flips that came out.
Hopefully these Flip HD Minos have a better range and focus in so that you can capture video from far away that looks great.
Of course, as always, scan the customer reviews before you leap and buy a Flip Mino HD, and if you’re looking for something more professional to record good high-quality videos for important events and stuff, you might want to consider investing in a Canon VIXIA HG20 AVCHD 60 GB HDD Camcorder with 12x Optical Zoom or some pricier HD camcorder, instead of pining all your HD hopes on buying a Flip Mino:
