Or makes like Matthew Broderick and Sarah Jessica Parker (do they have a uni-nickname?) did and stand outside the hospital, allowing all the photogs to snap first baby photos at a safe distance.

And then be left alone.

As much alone as possible.

I just caught Things We Lost in the Fire, and its depth and breadth makes me understand why playing a mom in that film convinced Halle to become a mother.

The writing and character dynamics were so believable, parents like me would assume she already was a mom.
