When Jaheim first came on the R & B scene, his gruff and wonderful vocals stood out -- surpassed only by his amazing, true-to-the-hurtful-bone lyrics that I can still recite from heart years later:
"Young girl she grew up in a rush...every man she ever loved only want to touch...charge that to the game..."
or
"...single family home...she did it all alone...met a man but...wouldn't raise a child that's not his own...oh no...""
So reading about Jaheim in the April 2008 issue of Ebony, it was interesting to learn even more about him.
Jaheim's Jamaica Wedding Contest Rules, How to Enter from The Steve Harvey Show
Just from Googling, I see he's also doing some Jamaica wedding contest thing launched on The Steve Harvey Show where he'll sing at someone's wedding.
But from the Ebony piece, I learned about the tattoo of Luther Vandross that Jaheim sports on his arm.
About his "rebirth" after a car accident while he was making The Makings of a Man.
The fact that Jaheim has a girlfriend, and he attributes finding love to having found love:
"See, love is weird," Jaheim said. "Most people can't find it because they don't have Jesus. And Jesus is love, you know?"
Yeah, Jaheim, I know...
