According to a press release, Sean “P Diddy” Combs has signed Janelle Monáe to Bad Boy Records.

Janelle has been likened to a female Prince, and has garnered Big Boi as co-executive producer of her “METROPOLIS” project.

Combs called the signing of Monáe one of the most important signings of his career, and states he can’t wait for the future to unfold for the songstress.
