PhotobucketI learned about Monica Renee Bowie, missing since July 5, 2007, from the Black and Missing But Not Forgotten blog, which is asking for help to get the word out about Monica’s case.

When Monica first went missing, her family held a prayer vigil in Pittsburgh.

Jasper Keels was eventually charged with her kidnapping, and this September 13, 2007, article is the last update as of this writing that can be found about Bowie’s case.

As the Black and Missing blog states, Monica’s family needs more answers as to her disappearance — and the blog posits its own theories as to why the mainstream media hasn’t given as much attention to Bowie’s case as it has others.

Chiefly, the questions need to be investigated further as to whether Keels was alone or if he had accomplices — and most importantly: Where is Monica now?

Hopefully with the power of blacks in the news media and blogosphere leading the charge, this case will finally be resolved fully.
